"As soon as I believed there was a God, I understood I could do nothing else but live for him, my religious vocation dates from the same moment as my faith: God is so great. There is such a difference between God and everything that is not." ~Charles de Foucald
I just realized the poem I found on Huw Raphael's site is by Foucald, so I did a little bit of searchin on my own. I love this quote. It's hard to find as much in english. I read through as much as I could on the French Wiki, but I think I'll keep searching...
Yes - I found the french wiki site too, - I have a book - i will see if I can find it. My link function is not working right now... it is a huge pain.
Charles de Foucault was a huge influence on me through my formative christian years in university. There is a community of little brothers and sisters that follow his ethos.

May his Memory be Eternal.
Who is he? I could look it up, but I'd rather have your version.
I will put a link to some info - shortly.
