We watched the Motorcycle Diaries tonight. It is a wonderful film.

can cbc television redeem itself?

Intelligence is the new Chris Haddock television produced in Vancouver. It is dark and gritty. So far I have seen two episodes and I will watch more. It is basically the only TV I watch, save for the odd Canucks game so when I plunked myself down in front of the TV on Tuesday night my children were shocked.

Tojás tészta (Hungarian egg noodles)

My dad used to make these noodles to supplement the chicken paprikas.
We made beef paprikas tonight.

It was good. Could have used more paprikas!

moving beyond the slug

I have been a slug.
I am going to have to do something about it.
I am going to drink more water.
I am going to walk Echo every day - please call me on it. Do not be hesitant - ask how is the daily exercise routine going?

save the potato water....

I notoriously drain my potatoes right into the sink and the water goes down the drain instead of saving it for the gravy.

But tonight, I remembered to save the potato water.

I am very pleased with myself.

cranberry festival

The cranberry festival was this weekend.
The people were many. Some good people watching.

My husband turns 41 on October 6th. It is also St. Thomas Day.
I can learn much from both.
