delight in the small things

The sun is starting to shine. "They" say that this will be last we see of the sun until next week so turn your face to yellow ball in the sky and say Glory to God for a new day.

I spotted the first snow drops in the yard - spring is coming. I am SO HAPPY about that.

I am working the late shift today - and while it is a bummer to be working until 8pm on Friday night, knowing that I have to be back on Saturday morning - having the quiet, non rushed morning time is a real blessing. Hannah and Luke have a Pro D day so they are still sleeping, I sit and catch up on correspondence, I can listen to Bill Good on CKNW, tackle the never ending laundry pile and drink my coffee.

I am hoping to see Babel this weekend. Has anyone seen it yet? What did you think?

I picked up some new sticky post it notes for work - stationary supplies delight me. I use different colours on different days... it is bizarre how something so little and insignificant can have such a huge impact on my overall general state of being.

i am with you about the stationary. a new pen can make my week. no telling what new fun-coloured post-its would do...

when i was about 6 i asked for sticky notes for christmas. i just loved them. something about the shade of yellow and the smell of 3M adhesive and how my bubbly letters looked on them. during the christmas holidays we drove to stay with some friends out of town for a week and I covered the inside of the back seat windows with yellow post-it notes with my drawings and words. i remember being supremely happy. i still love post-it notes.
