thieves in the day !

Is it Lent? I think it is Lent.
This is my car. OK. This is not my exact car. My car is a 85 Honda Accord. It is maroon. This car looks like my car that was STOLEN today whilst I was at work. My Honda has brand new tires on it. And one brand new headlamp. Not only did they get the car; they got the parking pass too. I had the parking pass duct taped to my rearview mirror. Don't laugh! I had maybe a half tank of gas in the car but they don't know that as the gas gage doesn't work - so it could show full but they wouldn't know that I reset the trip meter every time I fill up. I hope they are stranded on the road somewhere! The hassle of this whole thing is unbelievable. I called the Police. I called ICBC. I have to wait 72 hours before they will make a decision. I have to wait 72 hours before I can rent a car. I have to make a trip to a claims office and submit all the keys and all the receipts for the vehicle. I have to fill out paperwork to obtain a new parking pass. I can't ride my bicycle to work because that was STOLEN too.

It could be worse right? It could always be worse.

When i was housesitting for David and Mary a few years back, my car was stolen from in front of their house. It was 2 black jettas ago, and the back doors didn't even open. For me it was a bit of a okay thing because I got to trade it for a jetta with doors that worked. They found it the day after ICBC sent me the cheque (it was 23 days after i'd had to rent the car, visit the adjuster, ah I remember the hassle. ICBC asked if I'd like to return the cheque for my old car, or let them have it? I gifted it to them and kept the cheque. :)

I'm glad your car came back.
