it's the end of the world as I know it...

The laptop is not well. There seems to be a problem with the power cord. I am going to try duck tape tomorrow.

There shall be no peace in the valley whilst I am still breathing.
I have been a faith filled person for some time. I am not of the warm fuzzy ilk. I know life is hard. I know that life is filled with challenges and it is our response to the challenge that is important. I know that I am in exile here on earth. I know that there shall be no real rest until the end of days. I know that I fall down and I get back up again. I get THAT. So why then do I think that obtaining a position close to home which will allow me to work and and allow me the opportunity to be close to my teenage children will make my life easier. Life is one big TRADE OFF. I have been taught this lesson over and over again and YET I am still surprised when it happens. Do you think the LORD is laughing at me. Surely, it must be funny.
  • I am thankful for my friends. Truly I am. I had the chance to avoid cleaning my house of all the teeny tiny bits of artificial turf and have coffee and sweets and visit with my family. It has been a very long time. I have missed them.

Sorry, but that version sounds catatonic compared to Great Big Sea!

Ten days from now I see them live!

sympathies on the computer woes, though! Father's just came back from the shop...we used the hiatus to move his office into a different room. Amazing what you can get done when there is no computer to enslave you...of course, there's also all the stuff you CAN'T get done because you need the dratted computer....
