For various reasons I have been able to spend a fair bit of time resting on the sofa with not much energy - but just enough energy to travel around the blog world being inspired.
I have enjoyed visiting Shining Egg
Gonzo Mama Knits and Foothill Home Companion.
All of these blogs offer lovely images and are well worth the visit.
We woke to more snow. As day dawned, the snow began to fall again. I drove home from my appointment in a snow storm. Now, the sun is beginning to shine and the snow fall warning has been lifted. Surely this must be the end of winter.
I will spend the remainder of the day folding laundry, cleaning bathrooms, resting.
I am reading about Peak Oil and survival, container gardening and thinking about resurrecting my bread making skills.

I've been thinking about bread-making, too. So cozy and comfortable and an antidote to never-ending winter.
mmmm. yes. breadmaking. did a short stint a couple months back and then it fell to the wayside in the busy-ness of life. Lent is the perfect time for artisan bread.
that would be nice. I hope your day was restful and restorative.
I'm a huge fan of the Artisan Bread theory - that's pretty much all of my bread baking lately.
I'm sorry you are feeling punky. Hugs.
I like making bread, but I find my bread comes out pretty dry, or gets dry too fast, so I have resigned myself to buying bread far too often. Does anyone have a good recipe or some tips for how I can make bread that is more moist?

when you leave comments on my blog i haven't been able to see your profile so i didn't know who you where.
i just wanted to stop by and say hello and thank you for taking the time to read my posts and to put me in such great company as foothill home companion and shining egg. i'm flattered.
