shoes and an update

shoes 3

shoes 2

shoes 1

We attended the Drama Ensemble for the grade 8's last night. It was a good evening. Amazing to see how all the children have grown from little grade one munchkins and are developing into their own people. I look forward to watching them grow these next few years.

The shoes are paper mache and are on display in the front entrance of the school.

Official football practice with full gear starts Monday. Dance recital rehearsals start Monday.

Last day of classes is Friday.

We continue to have full sun and blue skies. The deck project was interrupted for the drama event.

Friday I am getting a haircut. I was tempted to cut it shorter again, but just when I reconcile myself to that decision I start to like the length. It is always like that.

We are making plans for summer. Bard on the Beach - visiting the Okanagan and the wineries.

Camp plans.

Lifeguard skills development.

Books to read. I am making a list. So, far on the list is the highly recommended the book of negroes. Anyone else have recommendations?

The garden is growing - the lettuce is almost ready to harvest. Radishes are close. Beans are still doing well. Tomatoes are slow to progress.

Wow. I did not realize, until closer inspection of the pictures, that these shoes were not real!

Sounds like a lot of nice summer plans.

Did you read Kathleen Norris' lastest on _Acedia_?

You darling - I your card was waiting for me when I got home from vacation, and the soap smells delicious. Thank you so much!

Have you read any Andrea Barrett? I've been enjoying her books recently - not like, but pleasantly solid novels.
