distractions

It is all about the dance right now. Well, there are a few other things* going on, but the dance distracts me. Which is a good thing. My daughter is the lead in the Christmas recital and rehearsals seem to be all the time. On top of that, the student choreography shows are next week. All she does is dance and do homework. And text her friends. How she keeps track of each particular dance routine is a mystery to me. We need tickets and a schedule of who is going to stand in line and on which day. I need to send addresses to relatives so they know where to come. To complicate matters I am on a course all next week and so I have a commute and the timing is going to be close. When we have a few quiet moments we remember going to the shows when she was just a wee thing and wondering if she will ever be on the stage and yet, here she is. Preparing for her first performances.

*my son has hit a serious rough patch so I'd appreciate some good thoughts and prayers his way. I am going to trust we will make it through and be stronger/ better and as my good friend Vic says "what doesn't kill us, doesn't kill us"

Sending you my thoughts and prayers. It's such a tough age, isn't it? So glad you have the distraction of dance.
