today

I am sitting around like I have all the time in the world. When I don't. Lunches to be made. Dog to be fed and watered. Laundry moved. You know, move the wet laundry from the washer to the dryer and then the dry laundry from the dryer to the couch in our "laundry annex" and then the requisite shout out to my daughter to fold the stuff after school.

Thursdays are the night when my husband takes my son out for a bite to eat and then they go see a movie. We are calling it keeping the lines of communication open. Keep talking, talking, talking so that when something BIG does come up - you still have a relationship with your son and you know him just a little bit. Actually I think we know him quite well, but this is a good thing.

My daughter has dance so after I drop her off tonight would be the perfect night to get back into the exercise routine. That is my goal. Oh and I bought some more cloves so I can mix up some more gingerbread. Little things.

I know how it is to not move when one needs to get going... sometimes mornings are esp. like this...

it's the little stuff that counts.

I think I might suggest movie night to my husband. We have two middle school boys and they need the time with their dad.
