best of 2009 Blog Challenge continued

2o. new person - in my corporate world I have had many managers. this year I was blessed to have a brilliant leader for a short period of time. She arrived just at the right moment - she brought stability and enthusiasm to her position. She was motivated and present every day she was on the job. She was a stunning example of how a manager should lead. She showed appreciation for a job well done; and she encouraged us to set goals and to achieve success.

21. project - I am liking my blog. I put more of an effort into it this year. I wrote more. I have started to use my camera more often. I am doing the work. I understand that it is the process that counts. I am going to work even more deliberately at creating a good space.

22. start up - the internet as a place of commerce. But, uniquely different. The possibility to share ideas and products intrigues me. Not so much the products - those are great. I love to see what people create and build and craft. There are beautiful things to behold and crave. But, more the opportunity to share ideas and thoughts with others whom who would never had met otherwise. Having someone recommend a site to visit; visiting it and having the experience resonate positively in the gut.

23. web tool - does flickr count? I think it must. I am just getting to know flickr beyond its basic service as a photo storage site. I am looking forward to exploring some of the other applications. It is yet another way to connect with new people.

24. learning experience - the brutal life of being a parent who is engaged in the raising of children. It is incredibly difficult and humbling. And hard and exhausting. And you wonder how you will survive it at all; and you are amazed that you came out the other side - all of you better for your efforts. But, holy dinah it can be brutal on the battle ground. Bloody and wounded - but healing occurs and life goes on.

25. gift - making time to write. I have made time to write this year. Not enough as I would have liked but, it is a beginning. I see, the wisdom in setting apart time. And sticking to a schedule. And choosing to do the work. I often wish for more time. It is a constant thing. I know that I have to make the time available to do the work I wish to do. And if I do make the time I will actually produce something. Funny how that works. My theme for 2010 is going to be DELIBERATE. More on this later.
