Back to work today. I turned on the radio this morning to have a listen to what is happening out there in the world. I have since turned it off again.

I am taking full advantage of the quiet and the dark. Soon the lights will disappear and the tree will be gone till next year. It was a fantastic break. It was a bit of an experiment to take time off before Christmas. I am glad I did. I am saddened to leave my family behind. I have enjoyed the slow days and the opportunity to hang out with my husband and my children during the day time hours.

I leave them a fridge full of leftovers.

My thoughts turn to organizing my life - our lives for 2010. This includes a major de-cluttering of the entire house. ENTIRE house. Everyone will participate. I am giving them fair warning.
