mending with sufjan

Thanks for all the tips for traveling.  Bizarre to think the milk in my fridge has a past due date beyond our return date.  Perspective.  We are only gone for 10 days.  A blink of an eye really.  Seems all a bit surreal.  Hey, I finally received my merit increase letter.  And it was good,  better than what I anticipated.  I am thankful.  My days are calmer but, still fraught with an undercurrent of worry.  We are making decisions and wondering about our wisdom.  Whew.  It is exhausting.  I am looking forward to some time for real rest.

this can be hard; who knew being an adult could be so taxing...

for me I keep having to remind myself (as I go through savings to learn french in hopes of getting a job that I don't know will be there) that I am doing the best I can right now, making the best decisions I can right now and to trust God with the rest. There comes a time when I have to seek to let go of the worry that is often attached to such decisions...

it is hard and even harder perhaps when you have a family.

hang in there and I hope for you that you can have some rest and clarity.
