six things on a Friday

  1. reality check - we are back from our vacation and fully entrenched in the trials of day to day life and to be perfectly frank we area all just a little a bit grumpy - it is hard not to get overwhelmed with  the masses of laundry; the dirty windows, the dust bunnies, the business of driving here, there and everywhere
  2. to combat the grumpiness I am filling my kitchen with daffodils
  3. I am hoping to catch up on my housekeeping during Holy Week -
  4. daughter has two dance competitions this weekend... which caught us by surprise as well as extra rehearsals for the year end show.  no sleeping in.
  5. it is raining.  it is going to rain all weekend.
  6. work is getting busier.

It is hard to not get overwhelmed from returning, isn't it? I think it was last year I skipped Holy Saturday service because I was just so unorganized and dusty, and the clothes needed to be folded, and, and and, I couldn't think.

Filling your kitchen with daffodils is a good way to combat the grumpiness.

Do you remember how Good Friday is called Long Friday over here? This year I'm hoping it will be true to it's name, I need to catch up with myself.

Love,
A.
