the weekend again - inspiration everywhere

One of my most favourite blogs - public bookstore is focusing on friday happiness.  I love this site and I am constantly inspired by its author.

She is Friday Happiness to me.  As well as the fact that it is the end of my work week and I am feeling quite pleased that I had the wisdom to take Friday as my "short" day.  I start at 10am.  This gives me an extra long time of peace and quiet in the sunroom.

I  am also loving Sandra Juto - love her film photos and her crochet.

And this blog Bloom - she spins and creates yarn for her friends.  Her photos are pretty spectacular too.

And how about this amazing leather cuff - I am off to find me some old leather belts.

While this is technically not the last weekend of summer.  It sorts of feels like the last gasp at free wheelin' days.  The mornings are cooler and the days are promising to be sunny and warm.  The best mix in my eyes.  I can feel the season start to change.  My garden never really took off.  I have some tomatoes set to harvest over the next few weeks and I have swiss chard galore.  But that is about it.  And that is OK.  Each summer is different.  Last year we definitely enjoyed more bounty. This summer vacation I actually did relax.  I loved our time in Westport.   Between that our spring vacation in Maui - I have realized that I love being close to the ocean.   So much so that Mr. W are deep in conversation on adjusting our retirement goals and dreams.

We have no big plans for the weekend.  Some tidying to be done.  Coolers to be put away.  Air mattresses packed back into storage.  Some reading.   What does your Friday bring?

I love the yarn Camilla (Bloom) just made for Sarah. She is a woman of many talents. Enjoy your tomatoes.
