sunday evening

pumpkin seeds

We are nearing the end of October.  Already.  It was a good day.  Quiet.  Rest filled.  Liturgy in the am.  Good words from Fr. L - a reminder we do not have to stand before God with a lengthy list - that God already knows what we need - and what we lack.  We just need to be.  A good reminder.

I finished A Live Coal in the Sea by Madeleine L'engle.   I reread Camilla in the summer time.  Makes me want to reread some other novels by ML.  But, I also watched an interview with JK Rowling and heard a clip of her speech at Harvard... and now I am going to reread the end of the Harry Potter series.

I also read this piece by author Libba Bray.  Be warned it is long.  But, she speaks honestly and sincerely.  Made me think of my 15 year olds - who are trying to find their way.  Made me think of my role in their life.

These pumpkin seeds are from previous year.  I am off tomorrow to find some pumpkins for our entrance.  And maybe some candy too.

Because of this post, picked up both "Camilla" and "A Live Coal in the Sea." Am starting with Camilla - enjoying it very much. Thank you for the recommendation.
