#reverb10 catch up Dec 25th

Prompt: Photo - a present to yourself. Sift through all the photos of you from the past year. Choose one that best captures you; either who you are, or who you strive to be. Find the shot of you that is worth a thousand words. Share the image, who shot it, where, and what it best reveals about you.

Author - Tracey Clark

My husband took this shot.  It was late spring.  Warm enough for us to sit on our deck.  Our favourite place at home.   After Maui - because I am wearing the pearl necklace.  Camera in hand.  Wrinkles in my forehead.  Slightly weary from life.  A bit of resignation on my face.  But, not in a bad way.  I like to think that I made huge progress this year - in accepting things as they come.  In not panicking and running scared when challenges surfaced.  In bearing down with love.  Always love.

Do you know before I read the text I was trying to think of who this was? What poet, what movie actress, what photographer? Seriously.

Classic timeless stunning beauty. Just wow.

and I am so glad to have a photo to tuck in my heart with your words now

love this picture...and I love the post about your son. I know I'm headed into that territory...and it scares me to death. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and here's to a Happy New Year!

beautiful. and that your husband took it. My Oma often says take it as it comes; she is 102 years old now; she I think knows something in this... my love to you.
