Prompt: One Word. Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you're choosing that word. Now, imagine it's one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

My word for 2010 is DELIBERATE.  I picked that word to help charter the course.  I wanted to work on being mindful of all the choices I was making.  Whether it was the food I put in my mouth, the words I used to speak,  or the actions by which others will judge me.  It offered a guidepost - something to check myself against if I started to feel like I was drifting or losing focus.

I haven't picked a word for 2011 yet.  There are a few floating around my consciousness but, nothing is resonating just right.   I am thinking about RISK.  I want to take more risks with my creative endeavors.  I  also like the word DISCIPLINE.  These are more guiding words.  If I think of a word that would capture 2011 - I think more in terms of interior well being.  DELIGHTFUL or FRUITFUL maybe PRODUCTIVE.

So, I reserve the right to choose one of these words - or maybe something completely different.

What word would you choose?  Do you want to join in?  Check in with #reverb10 and see who is posting the prompts.  And who is writing.

Risk is a good word. Can't wait for 2011 to take shape for you, with a very apparent word choice.

I can see the deliberate person in you for sure but I also got the big feeling that you are on the verge of something and risk is perfect for that. Also, I miss your voice.

Appears that the word that has chosen me is CONSIDER and with all its lovely aspects too. If you have a moment, do read Webster's and they will give them. Thank you for this post. Very challenging.

I like RISK. And DELIGHTFUL. DISCIPLINE not so much. My word could definitely be RISK, but maybe after the leap I'm taking, I don't really need any more... I think maybe DISCIPLINE is the one for me. Not you!
