#reverb10 December 27

Prompt: Ordinary joy. Our most profound joy is often experienced during ordinary moments. What was one of your most joyful ordinary moments this year?

Author - Brene Brown

Moments of joy are what I write about.  Nothing big or fancy.  Nothing terribly profound or enlightened.  Just average day to day stuff.  That has been been my focus this year - to appreciate the stuff - the good and the bad and accept it for what it is.  To be deliberate in my words and actions.

drinking my americano in the sunroom early in the morning:: 71% on a math exam from someone who was previously struggling:: watching my daughter dance to Johnny Cash:: seeing my son smile again:: shooting photos with my husband:: the first ale of the christmas season:: a stinking hot bath::

My mind is slowly turning towards the new year.  Thinking about my word choice and the direction I want to take.  Enjoying the last couple of days off work.  Watching movies.  Eating more cheese.

Very nice. It's like a little bag of marbles you can take out and look at every once in a while. Those little moments/achievements/delicious beers.
