learning to read light and feeling awkward
We dropped the teens at the top of the mountain. We came home to rain and I was disappointed as I had hoped to go out on a bit of a photowalk/ adventure with my husband. Four hours later the sun came out and we grabbed our gear. I walk around with a light meter in my hand - learning how to use his M2 rangefinder. I also carry my digital because I like the immediacy of the image. I feel somewhat burdened by carrying both cameras. A little geeky. But, I am doing the work. I am hopeful I will learn to read the light on my own... and maybe I will learn patience to wait for the film.
