self portrait

We are in the fifth month of 2011.  Technically it is Spring but it feels like Winter.

I have  made a much more concerted effort to write more, stretch more and photograph more.  I still have my inconsistent moments - I have not done much reading but I have crafted a list for the summer.

And while I am no where near mastering the mechanics of shooting on manual I have made huge gains in the understanding of light and I am hooked.

More vegetables are being consumed.  We are using Whitewater Cooks as a source of inspiration.  The Glory Bowl is fabulous - we have made it twice in the past week.  You just feel healthier eating it.

Kaileen Elise pushed me to unsubscribe to a few things to streamline my inbox.  I have done so and I am astonished at how little mail I actually receive.  I think I like it.

My day job is my day job.  I am still there making it work.  I am fortunate to have a shift that works well for me personally and for my family - allowing me to be home 3 days a week.  I share my days with fun and hardworking individuals.  They make all the difference.

Life with two 16 year olds is challenging and a bit of a roller coaster ride.   We are taking it one day at a time.  We are working very hard at being consistent with our message and we are striving to set good examples of doing the work.

Game Day - our Vancouver Canucks start the 3rd round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and we are excited!
