moving forward

I am on a mission to capture our light.  We have decided to sell this home.  The one thing I will miss the most is the light.  I love the evening light filtering through the tulip tree.  I love the light in the sunroom.  I am going to chase it through the summer and savour every bit of it.

I just finished State of Wonder by Ann Patchett.  It was wonderfully good.  It reminded me a bit of Poisonwood Bible.   I loved it so much I have ordered another one of her novels from the library.

We have updated West of Hope and have a few more homes to photograph over the next few weeks.

I just read a most unfortunate interview of ann patchett on the amazon site for this book which has biased me against it. :P

it's elizabeth gilbert interviewing her, and it's not that I can't stand her (because I can't!) but the interview sounds like it's between two 15yr old girls!!!

EG: Didn't I hear that you have a sort of magical story about a friend who is also a writer, who was also once going to write a book about the Amazon? Can you share this miraculous tale? Also, is your writer friend pretty?

AP: This friend of mine, who happens to be you, is gorgeous, and much taller in real life.

*gag*

en tous cas... I was kidding about being biased against her now. I will undoubtedly give this book a try.
this is just such an unfortunate interview...

I love Poisonwood Bible !!

and I imagine selling your home is bittersweet.
but I somehow doubt that you will cease to find light.
you always do.
and it finds you too.
