list to do

  • buy some havarti
  • prep the white flowers for tonight
  • make some pascha bread
  • laundry
  • clean the bathroom
  • blow up the airmattresses
  • buy more coffee and OJ for breakfast
  • dig in the garden
I don't know if I will get it all done.  I will do my very best.  It is a quiet day.  Yesterday was stormy and dark.  We lost our power around 4 pm and it did not come back on until just after 11pm.  I spent a good portion of the day at church - have war wounds to prove it.  I punctured and nicely sliced my left fore finger... and bled everywhere creating a lovely mess in the church.  We ended up going with mostly purple tulips with some roses in between... not as dramatic as all roses.. but lovely just the same.   The howling wind pretty much defeated any hope that our candles would stay lit during the procession.  Fortunately there was enough moonlight so we could see where we were going but, it was  not the same effect.  Tonight, it should be calmer.   I live and hope.  Enjoy your day!

thinking forward

Next week is Holy Week.  How the heck did that happen?  I feel that this year we have lived Lent Interrupted.  Sunday is Palm Sunday and we turn our eyes towards Pascha.  There is a ton of prep to get done.  Must remember to buy the red egg dye.  I missed it last year.  Flowers need to be organized.  Red and Purple and White ones.
