on friends

I love my friends. I love the fact that my friends can come over to my house and can either wait to be served or that they feel comfortable enough to start serving others ... or they will just help themselves. I love the opportunity to talk about our lives together. I love the fact that we can be frank and question each other and call each other home if we start to stray. I feel confident that if I were to start to slide in the faith that there would be numerous people calling me to accountability. I love all the little "orthodorks" that belong to our parish.

yea. it is good that you have friends that forgive you when you forget that you were their sponsor. and then, eight years later or so....you actually ask such a 'friend' who they had as their sponsor. hehe, ramon0s, your sponsorship is so thorough;p

I am sorry we missed your gathering. The little ones revolted against all of the holiday visiting today. Alas, no baby sitting was to be found. Your family was in our thoughts all evening.

Thanks Kim.
I totally understand. How was the hockey game?

Um. Thanks for the dose of humility Thomas.

LOL!
I love you ramona.
you are a constant inspiration to me and to all of orthodox womanhood. in all seriousness.
devout, faithful, steadfast, honest, open, vulnerable, loving, supportive, patient, kind, serious, uncompromising in things that matter. all the things an orthodox woman should be (and many of which I am still striving to be!).

Phil and I are very sorry we didn't make it. We hope you'll have another Open House again sometime soon. We would love to come and visit.

ramon0s.baby: you are welcome, glad to oblige; and you know there's more where that came from: just let me know :)

Just for the record...you know that you are my sponsor (and you too, Thomas) right????

oh yeah i only have a couple of people who would actually have a guy like me as their sponsor....and you and little greta are two of them. but because of people like you and the_krut_meister, etc, i have plenty of grand-god-children:)

Yup. You are on the list Kim, as well as Margaret.

This is absolutely one of my most embarrassing moments.... up there with the shower curtain rod story...

Victoria has graciously forgiven me.

Victoria and I are God-sisters????? I never knew that!!!!
Hmmmmm

That also means that Greta and Victoria are God sisters; Godmother to one kids and God sister to another...that's a full plate.

This is really "Byzantine intrigue!" Krista is the sponsor to a friend in our parish, Roxanne, who's now expecting a baby with her husband Jesse... so that'll be a "grand-God child" for Krista already!

You have to be careful though... does this affect your children from marrying each other?

I am not entirely sure... any clergy types feel like adding to this discussion?
