Luke is on his way to Iowa

Here is a photo of the boys receiving the $7000 from Parklane Homes. Thanks Parklane.

Luke left for Iowa today. Pray that they have a safe journey. He will be away until Sunday evening.

Pray for us left behind. I miss him already.

May Day 2006

We are going to be spending the morning and early afternoon at the May Day parade on Monday - then we are having a BBQ at our house in the Fort. I am thinking about 4pm or so. It will be a simple affair - bring some food to share and something to drink. We will provide the hotdogs, smokies and ice.... let me know if you think you might want to stop by.

the evening before a full day

It is Friday evening. Finally. I worked 5 days, had one day off and then another 5 days. Today 3 people called in sick, one is on disability and one was on holidays. Needless to say that it was crazy busy. The day flew by, I worked an hour of overtime and then got stuck in traffic. Came home just in time to take Hannah to dance, and buy some good healthy snacks for the rock climbing adventure tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Hannah and Luke go rock climbing, well sort of. They are going to practise outside.

We are going to do chores. The weather is supposed to be very fine. I am going to get my garden going... we are going to move over all our terra cotta planters from the grand parents place. We are going to plant cedars. We are going to take Echo for a long walk. We are going take all our bottles back to the depot. Then we are going to a work function evening for a bit.

I am looking forward to being outside. I will ignore the dust and the laundry. I am thankful for the break from my "day" job.

because I need another project like a shot in the head!

So, it has come to my attention that there is a coffee shop for sale in WG. I know nothing about it; I don't know where it is. Mag says it is for sale for $60K - that is not a lot of money... why is it for sale? What could we do with it? I am in a brainstorming mode. I want my friends to pray about this. Could this be something we could use to the Glory of God? I will do some research and then we will have a meeting. All who have some ideas to contribute will be welcome.

Peace out.

family

Tara, my youngest sister came and picked up Hannah today and they spent the afternoon together. Tara stayed for dinner. It was a good visit. Tara lives in Vancouver and is just starting a job with relic. We were glad to enjoy a meal with her.

My other sister Dana also lives in Vancouver. I don't see either of them nearly as much as I would like. I am always thankful for the time together.

Hannah and Luke are working their way through adolescence. They are the best of friends and care for each other more than they know which means when they hurt the other - the impact is even greater. I have often wondered just how deep their relationship goes. They have had the other in their lives forever. They were never one or alone.
