tent caterpillars be gone!

The apple tree is under siege. I don't get it - for 3 weeks I was up in the tree and saw no sign of these terrible creatures. Now, they have appeared and must be dealt with. We shall show no mercy. They will need to be cut out. Gah.

After a week of temps over 30 degrees celcius - we are moving to a more "normal" spring temperature. It has been a bit of an adjustment. Blinds/ windows shut during the day and open everything in the evening. The sun is blazing down still at 8pm . We are heading towards the longest day of the year. It is one of my favourite times. Counting down the days 'till the end of school. I am making requests at the library. Book reading on a blanket under the tree - another one of my favourite things.
