We are so glad it is the weekend.  I pulled a photo from my archives.  I need some bright colour and light.  It is so very dark and grey here.  And wet.  I realize when I view images from the east coast that we have nothing really to complain about.   In fact - I am very grateful for this life of mine.
We have no big plans - which is just fine with me.  I am slowly re-orienting my brain to the fact that very soon it will be Lent.   I have done a bit of an experiment this week and eliminated a good majority of gluten related food items.  I think I will carry this through another week which raises the stakes in the whole menu planning arena.
I am inspired by all the quilt making going on around me.
Some of my favourite people are guests at Habit this month.
Hoping to work on this project this weekend.

and I've been sewing again. a few camera straps, pj pants , and some busy blankets. which are little mini quilts for wee ones. it's a different kind of creating.
thanks for this photo.
yeah, I've been feeling the shift towards Lent... I try not to be scared (often Lent some really hard stuff happens)... and I admit I am enjoying meat on the fast free days! ... but at the same time I am excited for Lent, esp. for Friday night presanctifieds and the meal after; for that I can hardly wait...
love to you. sending some hugs, warmth and sunshine...
