on waking twice and listening

I woke twice this morning.  Once to the alarm.  Once on my own.
Still catching up on the sleep.  I am not fighting that battle.
And while it is Friday, I work tomorrow and you' all know how I feel about that.

My daughter is home but, we have hardly connected as she has been working in the afternoons/ evenings and coming home late.  I still miss her.  Even though she is home.  We are hoping to carve out some time this weekend.  Just to be.

It is not raining right now.  Yesterday was a brutal day.  It poured all through the night.  I woke to the sound of rain.  It was dark.  Miserable and I had to do something drastic.  I took the lead from this amazing woman Andrea Jenkins at Hula Seventy and created my own sunshine.  I drew suns for our home and my office and my lunchroom.

Later that day the actual sun came out; along with hail and wind and thunder and lightening.  It was a day for everything weather wise.   I kept my suns up.   I am not convinced the grey factor will reveal itself yet again.

I am fighting the fight... I have weapons.  I exercise daily.  I am eating properly.  I am sticking to the plan.  But, I need it to be spring.  Soon.

How clever-putting up your own suns!
I'm seeing a little more spring here in Amherst, MA where I am visiting my daughter, but it cannot come quick enough :)

Wishing you a wonder filled and restful weekend.

love to you
