It is nearing the end of October. We are winding down a bunch of projects and gearing up for a new series... these next few days will be time to regroup and reset the clock. The rhythm of the days is one of the reasons I love the newspaper business. It is a little bit like monastic life. Time is marked in a different way. Onward.

rhythm to the days, liturgical seasons and times of prayers; this is where life is...
I don't think I ever got to asking, Ramona-- which paper do you work for and what do you do? Indeed there is a rhythm to the deadlines...
I used to proofread and do layout for the local twice-weekly paper when we lived in Saskatchewan. I expect the technology has come a long way since we made corrections on long strips of printed-out columns, then used special ink markers to clean up the spots on the full two-page-spread size negatives....!
