In my part of the world the end of the school year seems to dissolve into chaos.
Yesterday, a week and a half before the last day of school my children brought home all of their "stuff". They cleaned up the classroom.
They are in grade 7. Many of their friends are leaving the school to attend highschool in other areas so there is quite a bit of year end celebrating.
Today they are going to the water slides. Not this particular Water slide but another one. Tomorrow is a FUN DAY. I don't understand? Won't they have fun at the water slides? Then they have a "graduation ceremony" next Tuesday. What will they be doing Monday?
The last day of school is the 26th. What will they be doing in their classroom with no "stuff" for the remainder of next week?
Craziness.

We are doing the same kinds of things here too...Youngest brought all his books back, handed in his calculator and has high school orientation to attend - but still has school in one form or another until the 26th.
