- The reality is I am having a difficult time staying up past midnight and and then rising at 5:45 am - it has happened a couple of times this week and I am tired.
- I really need to figure out what I am doing about my work situation.
- We are both thrilled that we have decided to stay put. We love our house.
- Looks like the summer weather is here for a bit longer.
- I love my coffee in the morning. Love it.
- I am having some time management challenges.

summer time
It felt like the first true day of summer today.
Warm, warm temperatures. Lots of light. It was a good day.
The boys hung out at the river.
Salad pizza for dinner.
Coffee and chocolate for dessert.
Finally finished a roll of 100 slide film that I dropped off to be cross processed. I am looking forward to seeing how they turned out.

six things on a saturday
- We are heading into my favourite magazine season. This is the only time I buy fashion magazines. And the reality is that I never wear anything that looks remotely like anything in the layouts but I love the fact they are super thick and I think I am getting some serious value.
- I am still sleeping outside and loving it. I added a hoodie to the mix and I was considerably more comfortable. Overall the temperatures have dropped so I will more than likely pack up the tent on Sunday.
- I am on the hunt for another good novel.
- I am on VACATION and it is fantastic. I love the fact that the days stretch before me.
- It is considerably calmer and quieter without my daughter in the house. Weird. She brings a different energy. I miss her already.
- I decided I am growing out my hair.

Yesterday after liturgy we traveled to the river for the Blessing of the Waters. It was incredibly mild - a completely different experience from last year where we were hiking over mountains of snow.
My son and I met the principal of the new school today. He goes back after spring break to register for Grade 10. He is keen to take Metalwork and Drafting and Design. In other news, his script - adapted from the children's book Frog in Love was chosen to be performed by his peers. We are looking forward to seeing the students perform their work.
I am craving some chai tea. I made some, but it was not what I was hoping for.... a new project - to find a good chai tea.
Today's tasks include: vacuuming more random christmas tree needles, laundry, another stint at learning photoshop. I am thinking I might need to take a course or find someone to show me how to use the program... or maybe I just need a good book that breaks it down step by step. And I am slowly tackling one room at a time and de-cluttering. I also need to pick up some lightbulbs for the laundry room.
We watched Invictus last night. Highly recommend it.
There are no extracurricular activities tonight. Hurrah.
